How To Use A Bidet

When you are traveling to a foreign country, most often you will come across a Bidet at five star hotels. It’s basically a basin that you find in the toilet for cleaning your genitals and anal area soon after you use the toilet or even when you wish to freshen up. Initially you may find it quite difficult to use it, but it is not that complicated, it’s very simple to use it. It also helps you to maintain a proper hygiene.

Bidets are really helpful for people who are recovering from surgery, people with physical disabilities etc. Here are few instructions that helps you to use a bidet given below:

Before using the bidet toilet seat you can first use the toilet. Straddle the bidet. On standalone bidets you can either face the bidet’s water controls or just the opposite like on a toilet seat. You may find it easier to control the flow and temperature of the water if you are sitting facing the controls.

You can adjust the temperature and jet strengths of the bidet for extra comfort, for example if the bidet has both hot and cold water controls, then you can choose accordingly.

You need to pay great attention when you turn on the water, as most of the bidets produce a very high jet of water within just a single turn.

If your bidet comes with a spray nozzle set in the bowl then you can place your hand above it to control the force of water.

Position yourself over the water jets so that the jets hit the desired area.

Clean the required area using your hands and use soap if you need. Rinse yourself well and switch off the water.

If the bidet model comes with a built-in air dryer then you can use it or else use a towel to dry or toilet paper.

You can then rinse out the bidet and keep it fresh.
